Welcome, Alexandru Munteanu – our new Commercial Director

Phonetastic GSM, a Romanian company active in the European smartphones, gadgets, and IT equipment market announces that Alexandru Munteanu, an executive with a career almost entirely focused on the telecom market, holds the Commercial Director role, starting today.

In his new position, he will coordinate the purchasing, sales – both the team dedicated to Romania and the international wholesale one, and the distribution departments for the brands already present in the Phonetastic GSM portfolio.

At the age of 48 and with a proven experience in telecommunications, Munteanu will prioritize increasing the company’s activity and turnover, focusing on Romania, the inclusion of new brands in the distribution portfolio, and also on the development of new business lines.

Prior to joining the Phonetastic team, Munteanu served as Commercial Director at Gersim Impex, Director of International Development at Allview Mobile, and led the IT and Telecom division of Samsung Electronics Romania. His previous experience also includes management positions within Cosmote Romania and Germanos.

Munteanu has graduated from the University of Bucharest – Faculty of History.

Phonetastic GSM ended 2020 with a turnover of 48 million Euro and aims for a growth of 20%, at the end of this year.
